ABOUT

Hi! My name is Tess Reyes. Although, I’m more commonly known as “Ms. Tess”. For the past 28 years, I’ve specialized and focused on fine art education for children. I’ve developed a successful program that helps encourage children to enjoy and explore various arts and crafts. My lesson plans range from core-related, art basics to works inspired by art masters such as Picasso, Miro, Rosseau, O’Keefe, Monet, etc. I graduated with an art degree, a key stepping stone in the development of my program, “Art with Ms. Tess”. Many years of teaching K-5 students and presently, special needs children, has helped give me a better understanding of the mindset of a child--thus, helping me produce a curriculum that is approachable, relatable and enjoyable for children. The success is evident by their beautiful masterpieces!

Prior to teaching, I worked as an Advertising Director for, at the time, one of the best advertising agencies in San Francisco. As for my educational background, I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors in Fine Arts and Advertising, and also have experience in culinary arts and home economics. I love cooking, baking, gardening, dancing and singing. Music, like art, has a special place in my heart. For 16 years, I was a lead singer and manager of a local country band (Silver Spur) and have also tried my hand at songwriting. I had the opportunity to record in Nashville--a lifetime dream of mine! I love art in all forms. My passion and expertise in art has shaped me into the person I am today...Ms. Tess.
